About 15 years ago the entire find was scooped up directly from the mine in Brazil. A few years ago I sent a piece for lab testing to identify the phantoms, it was discovered that they are in fact powellite. This very rare mineral is a member of the scheelite group, which also includes wulfenite. The scientist behind the testing said that he has "seen powellite in this type of environment...not very common but it does exist."
